So what's the goal of Gifts of Eos?Community, really. Helping to bring fans together and celebrate an exchanging of fan made content. :>All entries must be finished pieces of work. What does this mean in a greater context?This means the work must be completed to a similar standard to things you've posted or shared that are complete and in line with what you are offering for the exchange.What is the minimum word count for written entries?1,000 words is the very bare minimum of what we'll be comfortable accepting as a finished ficlet. With the increase of time for 2026's Gifts of Eos, we hope this will be more than enough time to write something that meets that, or surpasses that.This word count will not apply to things such as lyrics or poems, which generally tend to hover around an average of ~150 - ~170 words. Same consideration for haikus as they are meant to follow a 5/7/5 format and could not reach that if it is one on its own. That said, we do recommend maybe writing multiples of said forms of writing instead of settling on one or two.What is allowed in the exchange?Anything that you can make with your hands that is set within the realm of FFXV. Art, writing, music, physical goods as long as the recipient of your gift is okay with it! We are also open and receptive to fan characters within the setting. So if some people would like to say they want their FFXV OC and/or their OC ships, that's fine, too.We ask that all OC creators that enjoy seeing their OC or OC x canon ships to not feel shy about being resolute in asking for content of your creations born of love for the setting we've all had the joy of experiencing and creating for. This exchange is about spreading joy and hopefully receiving joy in return. That includes your OCs if you love them and having them in the world of FFXV.You allow merch as an option. What does that entail?This means if you are the one who makes that merch and want to offer it as a gift to your recipient, you can. We do, in fact, encourage you to reach out to your gift recipient just to make sure you're on the same page as one another (and also to make sure that you have the right person). Especially in the event that you have someone who has an OC and you would like to make them extra happy by providing OC content.If you want to keep your work and submission a surprise until you're done, or until the deadline, that's still fine. We don't want to potentially fall victim to false information and slander because someone may have beef that they are unashamed of faking. We're not here to stage a witch hunt, we're here to share in our love of FFXV and hopefully make the exchange process as safe as possible for people who would like to participate.

It was the end of their last day of school before winter break started. And even though he and Prompto already had plans to hang out over the break, he just knew that there was a very small window of time. Asking today meant that Prompto would have enough time in which to feel prepared for what Noctis was about to ask, but not enough time for him to worry himself into a hole of nervousness. Once more, Noctis picked up the glass and then lifted it up to take a sip, just as the door crashed open.Noctis jerked involuntarily and let go of the glass accidentally. Luckily for him, his wedding suit was kept in traditional black, but the wet stains that had landed on his suit pants were visible.‘It is about time, Noct, we-‘ he could hear his father start, who then trailed off as soon as he saw what had just happened.‘Oh, Noct,’ his father said and strode over hurriedly to where Noctis still stood glued to the ground, not having moved an inch. Shit, just his luck, he thought while standing in a puddle of water, surrounded by his broken glass. And it wasn’t any glass, it had been a birthday present from Prompto, who’d bought it for him when he’d gone on his trip to Niflheim, his first trip alone. Just a dumb tourist souvenir that Noctis loved dearly. He’d been using it often enough that the print of the Niflheim flag was almost entirely washed off by now. Not that that mattered anymore now.Noctis clutched his hands tightly and tried to focus on his breathing because his vision began to blur on the edges. Two familiar strong hands gripped his shoulders and pushed him to the right, where his legs connected with the couch, and he let himself fall backwards and onto it.His father gave orders to people, probably some of the glaives, who were at the entrance of the room, but Noctis was unable to focus on them. He still looked down at the ruined pants of his suit. Fuck, he’d let Ignis down bad, hadn’t he? All the photographers would focus on now was his ruined outfit. It’d probably dry off weirdly, and then he’d be presented as the fool some of the state guests accused him of being.But before he could get any more lost in his head, his father’s soft voice brought him back to reality.

The paper had yellowed, but that was probably because paper was so precious and so people held onto it for something…special. important.Noctis pulled the letter out carefully like it might crumble, afraid it just might. He unfolded it gently and prepared himself for whatever was about to come.The last time he saw Iris’s handwriting had been at Cape Caem, when she would write out shopping lists for them while they were out on hunts. It still looked relatively the same, a hint of the young girl there, but the letters were now written in a rush with how everything tilted to the right more than before.

Even in the midst of a plague, life went on, and as life went on, past times had hardly changed.Somnus leaned against a fence that divvied up a sparring area from the walked paths. One day, were he to have it his own way, there would be a more permanent venue. It may also behoove all parties that gathered to move the event southward. Just because it was most convenient for the islanders to the north, the people of his town, and the neighbouring villages did not mean it was what was best for all who joined in the festivities.Alongside needing a more permanent venue, there would certainly need to be proper accommodation for it all, as well. The young nobleman, all of seventeen, was rather pleased with the plans he had drafted in his mind. It was perfect, as far as he could tell. Not that he wouldn’t be open to improving the schematics and such, but he couldn’t forsee a need to. The key would be finding the land–Somnus’ face went sour as he heard his older brother’s voice drift over the idle chatter of the people. Of course, Somnus would be fair. A fair bit of his ire towards Ardyn undoubtedly came from the face that they were raised alongside one another. It also didn’t help that the man was so…Flighty? Short-sighted? Idealistic?No, Somnus thought to himself. Ardyn is too soft. That’s what it was.Creative, but too soft.Maybe that would change, and his brother would grow into someone who he could be proud to stand alongside. After all, they could hold their own against one another, step by step in dances of theory and tactics. Together, they could rule the world. If only they could agree…

A young boy with a bough of flowers pushing some into his hand."For luck" The boy said, before vanishing into the crowd, before he could so much as a word in.He took a good look at the flowers, they were a variation of sylleblossoms- although common in blue, these were a startling red.He felt the crowd press in as the procession came into view. Petals and flowers were cast into the air with cheers and adulations showering the passing entourage. Upon their journey; his brother, the prince, the oracle and four armoured men would travel far and wide.As Saph tossed his own flowers, oracle Aera met his gaze. Her expression turning from delight to a deep indecipherable sorrow. She reached out, not to Prince Ardyn, but to Saph in the crowd. Saph could almost hear his name on her tongue, her touch against his cheek, and her eyes full of life. He tried to get to her, pushing through the crowd to reach Aera. As he grips onto the shoulder of a man, he pulls away noticing how he left a black handprint on the white garbs of the man.

Noctis groaned as the cruel light of day penetrated the defense of his closed eyelids, rousing him unceremoniously back into the waking world. He could have sworn he'd closed the blinds before he stumbled into bed the previous evening, exhausted from a particularly grueling training session with Gladio. Reluctantly surrendering to his growing state of consciousness, Noctis blinked his eyes open to find Ignis standing by the window."Ugh…" Noctis complained as he pulled himself into a sitting position in his bed. "I closed those blinds for a reason, Specs."Judging by the tiny upturned corner of Ignis' lips, which Noctis had zeroed in on in his attempts to find even the smallest hint of what his long-time friend might be thinking these days, he was feeling rather pleased with himself. The expression was the closest Ignis had come to outright mischievousness in what seemed like an eternity."Ah, good. You're awake," Ignis stated as if Noctis hadn't even spoken just a moment ago. "Please get dressed and join me in the kitchen in ten minutes."Ignis swiftly exited the bedroom and Noctis groaned again, rubbing his eyes and flopping dramatically back against his pillow. Noctis missed the days when Ignis used to wake him up by gently touching his face, or stroking his hair, but it had been years since his friend had touched him so casually. He had half a mind to pull the covers over his head, roll back over, and force Ignis to come back to rouse him a second time, but he thought better of it and slowly eased himself out of bed with a wince.

The speed at which two blinding yellow lights came hurtling towards him on the right made him instantly freeze on the spot.When he locked eyes with the shadow of the panicked driver behind the wheel of the vehicle, Nyx’s lungs ceased up, and his heart stopped.It was too late to move, too late to jump out of the way.The vehicle was too close and the roads were too icy.All Nyx could do was brace himself for the impact as the sound of the vehicle’s brakes being violently used penetrated his ears, signifying the pain that was about to wreak havoc on his-Suddenly, a sharp pain tightened around his neck, and his entire body jerked backwards with great force.Confused and disoriented, Nyx tripped over the curb behind him and soon found himself sprawled out on his back, looking up at the starry sky, hearing the vehicle that almost cut his life short rapidly speeding off deeper into the concrete jungle.Lying silent and motionless on the freezing cold pavement, Nyx blinked, his mind completely blank as the adrenaline finally started to take effect, kick-starting his heart into overdrive. Blood pulsed rapidly in his ears, and his lungs had finally decided to work again, expanding and deflating at a phenomenal rate. Flexing his fingers ever so slightly, Nyx could feel bits of gravel embedded within them and something sharp digging into the small of his back, but the pain he felt was minimal. He had definitely done some damage to his body during his plummeting descent, that much he was certain, but the shock of what nearly transpired was clouding his mind, preventing him from fully registering the pain coursing through his muscles.Knowing his luck, he had probably cracked his skull open or something.
