So what's the goal of Gifts of Eos?Community, really. Helping to bring fans together and celebrate an exchanging of fan made content. :>All entries must be finished pieces of work. What does this mean in a greater context?This means the work must be completed to a similar standard to things you've posted or shared that are complete and in line with what you are offering for the exchange.What is the minimum word count for written entries?500 words is the minimum of what we'll be comfortable accepting as a finished ficlet.This word count will not apply to things such as lyrics or poems, which generally tend to hover around an average of ~150 - ~170 words. Same consideration for haikus as they are meant to follow a 5/7/5 format and could not reach that if it is one on its own.What is allowed in the exchange?Anything that you can make with your hands that is set within the realm of FFXV. Art, writing, music, physical goods as long as the recipient of your gift is okay with it! We are also open and receptive to fan characters within the setting. So if some people would like to say they want their FFXV OC and/or their OC ships, that's fine, too.You allow merch as an option. What does that entail?This means if you are the one who makes that merch and want to offer it as a gift to your recipient, you can. This is a creative exchange, not a general exchange.If you have merch that you don't want, you can always make use of our Discord's merch-exchange channel to see if someone may want it and is willing to trade for it!Do I need to join the Discord to partake?No. Joining the Discord is purely optional and is meant to be more of a place where FFXV fans can more easily meet other FFXV fans.You allow original FFXV characters?We do.What if I don't want to work with original characters?That's unfortunate.What artistic skill level is allowed?Creatives of all skill levels are allowed to participate.Why 'all skill levels'? Isn't that unfair to people who have years of experience?It's unfair to place people who you think are less talented than you into a box you think don't deserve to have something made just for them.This event is free, for fun, and to allow everyone who wants to have that opportunity to create something for other fans out of love for the franchise. Literally no one is benefiting fiscally from this event to place such arbitrary and subjective measures onto other fans who just want to make stuff for fun.Is this event meant to be anonymous?Nope. You don't have to be anonymous if you don't want to be. We do, in fact, encourage you to reach out to your gift recipient just to make sure you're on the same page as one another. Especially in the event that you have someone who has an OC and you would like to make them extra happy by providing OC content.What if I'm paired with someone I've blocked somewhere?Let us know during sign ups that you've blocked someone and what platforms you know they're a part of so we can avoid this. If it happens regardless, please know it's not on purpose, and let us know so that we can rectify the mistake.This person is really nasty.Please block them. If there are instances of racism, homophobia, queerphobia, transphobia, and/or sexism, please contact us providing anything that is publicly available that we can verify. We take these reports as seriously as we can.Why won't you take my word for it?In the age where we can fake a lot of screenshots with even the barest practice, or even have websites that allow you to make fake screenshots, it's unfortunately very hard to take a lot of things at face value. We don't want to potentially fall victim to false information and slander because someone may have beef that they are unashamed of faking.
